Christ in Youth

CIY 2010 was the best CiY yet.
:] The week went by WAYYY TOO FAST though.
I roomed with the lovely Payton and we were next door to Taylor and Ab (: I love those girls!
The rafting trip before we got to CIY was beyond beautiful. It started raining, gently at first, then harder, so you could barely see.... It was breathtaking watching the rain clouds seep over the mountains of pine trees, listening to the rain plink-plink, drip-drip on the water, and I forever have a mental image of all of this. With Payton practically dancing sitting down in the middle of it. haha and when Josh and Logan fell out of our raft!
*that was awful!* We were so scared something would happen to them...
But God returned them (and Josh's Crocs) safe and sound to another raft. :)

A few of my favorite memories...
Singing "Jump then Fall" with Payton in the old yellow bus on the way to the rapids.
Eating peanut butter and Oreos with Logan and Payton.
Randomly playing ninja on the lawn... in a skirt. >.< Then singing "Breaking Free" with Payton for no apparent reason.
Getting absolutely SOAKED, playing volleyball in the rain.
Youth group time every night.
Laughing about something someone said for 10 minutes, but not knowing WHY it was so funny.
Taking pictures of Logan and Lace near the clock tower.
Wacking people with pool noodles. And watching other people wack each other with pool noodles ;)
Praying for people. and being prayed for.
Worshipping God, living and walking every day with the awareness of His Holy Spirit.
Watching 1,400 teenagers worship God with all their hearts.

Day 9: playing with chalk

AHHH I'm sorry I'm behind.... :( Things have been busy! but a good kind of busy.

Hard to believe a year has flown by! 15 HOURS in the van. bleck. haha but so worth it <3

I like the colors in this picture... and the focus. man, I need inspiration. Hopefully I can find some at CiY and the absolutely gorgeous campus we're staying at. :]

Day 7: random apple?

yes, an apple on my window sill. But I thought the apple was really pretty. As you can see, I thought of this AFTER I took a bite of it. oh well :]

AHHHOHMYGOODNESS.... CIY is in 4 days! Hard to believe a year has gone by. I'm looking forward to the whole trip. (Including the 15 hour van ride to TN.)

do you ever have a musical stuck in your head? Since Monday, I have been singing WICKED NONSTOP. ;p

ACT tommorow.

5 days till the first swim and study.  

9 days till high school camp.

1 month until we leave for CiY. :]

Chemistry labs ended yesterday. :( How sad is that??! Now, I know chemistry is not something people often miss or even wish for, but it was so much fun. dry ice+goggles+serendipity+silly putty+exploding water bottles+Wicked soundtrack+good friends=best 2 weeks of school. ever. :]

My mom and I went shopping today and got some really cute clothes!!! Finally, successful shopping. Here's the deal: I. don't. like. clothes. shopping. There is wayyy too many clothes to choose from and half the time, they don't fit right. But thank goodness for Ann Taylor Loft. Got a super cute skirt on sale for $13 :]

For some strange reason, I'm nervous about the ACT tomorrow. But I've been through harder things than a four hour test. :]

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
